JURISDICTION OF THE COMMISSION OVER (a) Religious Officers in the Department of
PUBLIC SERVICES Religious Affairs and Malay Customs;
(b) Officers in Part IV;
1. Malacca and Penang (c) Headmen and Assistant Headmen; and
(d) daily-paid workers.
The jurisdiction of the Commission over
officers in the public services of Malacca and 3. Negeri Sembilan
Penang is provided for under Article 139(1) of
the Federal Constitution. The jurisdiction of the Commission over

2. Perlis Sembilan is delegated through the Negeri
Sembilan Public Services Commission
In accordance with the provision of Article (Extension of Jurisdiction) Enactment
139(2) of the Federal Constitution, the 1959 and Negeri Sembilan Public Services
jurisdiction of the Commission over the Perlis Commission (Extension of Jurisdiction) Order
public service personnel are given through the 1961 in accordance with the provision in
Perlis Public Services Commission (Extension Article 139(2) of the Federal Constitution
of Jurisdiction) Enactment 1958 and Perlis which was approved by the Negeri Sembilan
Public Services Commission (Extension of State Legislative Assembly. The Commission
Jurisdiction) Order 1960 which was approved has jurisdiction over all Negeri Sembilan public
by the Perlis State Legislative Assembly. service personnel with the exception of:
Under these laws, the Commission has (a) Comptroller of the Royal Household;
